The museum preserves archaeological material from the Bronze Age, church items from the 11th-12th centuries, handwritten prayers from the 17th-18th centuries, and an ethnographic collection depicting the life of Lower Svaneti, which is exhibited in the museum's machubi - a Svan-style dwelling house.

Various educational programs are held on site, the goal of which is to introduce visitors to Svan culture and traditions.
