June-October
The trail is best hiked during summer and early autumn. Snow and unstable weather make the route unsuitable in late autumn, winter, and early spring.
This scenic two-day hiking route connects the town of Lentekhi with the village of Sakdari, passing over the impressive Goldashi Mountain range.
The hiking route starts in the center of the Lentekhi town and continues north along M. Khergiani Street towards Mount Goldash. The ridge along which the hiking trail follows is covered with mixed forest, and after 7 kilometers it continues through alpine meadows, from where beautiful views open to the south over the Tskhenistskali River gorge and to the north - to the peaks of the Caucasus. After that, the trail climbs to Mount Goldash, located at 2840 m above sea level, from where there is an impressive 360-degree panorama. There is a small lake at the foot of the mountain, and the area around it is an ideal place for camping and spending the night.
The second day is relatively easy, as most of the distance is downhill. From the lake, the trail descends to the southeast ridge, passing through beautiful forest massifs where coniferous and broad-leaved forest groves alternate. Finally, the trail reaches the village of Sakdari in the Choluri community. This village is located on the right bank of the Tskhenistskalli River, at an altitude of 1,110 meters above sea level.
