About Us
Lentekhi Local Action Group (Lentekhi LAG) is a non-profit organization founded by civil, public and entrepreneurial entities, which promotes the sustainable development of the Lentekhi municipality. Lentekhi LAG was established on February 29, 2024 and our mission is to unite local residents, businesses, civil society and the public sector around the creation of a future vision for the municipality and the implementation of projects that will strengthen our economy, environment and life.
Lentekhi LAG is based on the EU LEADER (Leadership in Rural Economic Development)/CLLD (Community-Led Local Development) approach, which aims to ensure the involvement of local actors in the development of the region. In carrying out our activities, we are guided by the principles of equity, transparency and local empowerment to:
- Elaborate the local development strategy (LDS) tailored to the needs of the municipality and support its implementation.
- Encourage innovation in agriculture, tourism and other local priority areas.
- Support entrepreneurship and develop the capacities of local stakeholders.
- Promote the sustainable use of our rich cultural and natural heritage.
Lentekhi LAG is a bridge between local communities and development opportunities - which helps to identify needs, mobilize resources and create tangible results to improve the living environment. Based on this role, the goal of the Lentekhi Local Action Group is:
Improving the quality of life of the population of Lentekhi Municipality
We believe that Lentekhi can develop rapidly and sustainably if the people who live and work here are actively involved in this process. That is why we bring together people and organizations of different interests and abilities in our activities, and we also invite new members who want to contribute to improving the quality of life in the municipality.
