I am Lentekhi resident and I draw my inspiration from Svaneti traditions, nature and people. I have spent most of my life creating wool felt and handwoven pieces at my home-based workshop, and this process has always brought me joy. When the Covid-19 started and everything seemed to have stopped, I started making traditional Svan hats, which are to date used by Svan men as a head garment, but also widely popular as souvenirs. Materials that I use are mostly sourced locally, without any chemical processing and hence, all my artwork on one hand brings joy to people, and on the other hand creates no harm to the environment.
